My EZ pass is mounted on the underside of the lid of my left saddlebag...no issues.

mine is velcroed to the lid of my tour pack, no issues with readability by overhead scanners, you do need to be careful when going through lanes with gates. sometimes there isnt enuf steel with a bike to trip the sensor in the road and gates wont go up

I just throw it in the windshield pouch and it works for Sunpass

I have both an EZ pass and a Sunpass, I usually just put it in my shirt or jacket pocket when I know it's needed.

In my pocket of my riding jacket or up under my windshield going to try it under my left saddle bag sounds like a great idea.

I used to carry it mostly in my vest pocket - Then one day I had it stuck on my windshield and it fell off - got run over & smashed - so now I just run on the tag number - no transponer - Eastcoast Jim

I've left the thingamajig at home and just called and made sure they had the plate number right. No issues. It scans the plate at every toll booth, and charges you just the same. This was in Houston on the HCTRA EZ Tag system. But I was in FL just last week and on the turnpike. It looks like it would work just the same.
