Can anyone give me some ideas regarding the problem I have with the security siren on my 2016 FLHTK.
The alarm was triggered and ran until the battery ran down.
I thought that after a few hundred Kilometers the battery would recharge, but whenever the siren sounded it gave a very week sound.
So, new battery bought and installed, still little volume to the siren.
So, complete new siren bought and installed, still little volume to the siren. ( the volume is approximately 10% of the original, barely audible )
Any ideas how to restore the volume?
does the security have its own battery or uses the machines battery?
do not have security other than my dog, barks over here and bites way over there, can kill man or beast, 38spl bulldog.
Not trying to be a smartie, but did you install the siren upside down? I've seen where someone did that, and the sound was not loud when it went off...

Thanks for this suggestion, will give it a try. Unfortunately just out of Hospital so only just seen your reply
When you look in the slot where the siren goes you will see a circle cut out in the plastic shelf. Make sure the siren hole in the box is lined up with that cut out. You would not be the first person to install it upside down if you did.

Thank you so much for your post, you and two other members suggested the same issue. You were absolutely correct, can't believe what an idiot I am!!
