Default Pager alarm problems!!!!

I bought the pager alarm remote so I can leave my bike outside my hotel room and have the pager go off if my bike was messed with...I used my pager from a hotel room overnight my first time. The pager says the unit was in range and it was working great.. The next morning I noticed the pager said the bike was no longer in range. I went outside to the bike and noticed my bike battery was deader than a door nail. I suspected the pager trained my battery overnight. Anyone else have this problem? It was my first use of this pager...now I want to take it back for a refund...

Been using the pager remote for years without any problems with the BIKE battery.... now the pager is another story. You have another problem with your bike battery. My pager is about 4 or 5 years old now, So I leave it plugged in all night on the night stand. BTW make sure to put your key FOB away from the hotel windows/ front of the room. One guy I know used to leave his bike parked closed to the door and the FOB on the other side of the door, alarm never set.

What year/model of bike?

Did you already have the security on it and add the siren?

I can only answer one of your questions, I had the remote pager (rechargeable) on my 13 and could go weeks with no problems, and I never used a tender during that time.

I do not believe the siren with the antenna is going to draw much more power than just the security box itself.

Assuming you are referring to the HD siren alarm and pager, and not an aftermarket system, you didn't really say.

I've used the HD siren alarm and pager for the past couple years, never had it drain my bike's battery. Not sure how that could even happen.

Your security system drains very little current, and the pager powers itself.

Might need to do some more basic testing to find the cause of your dead battery.

If it is the pager or security system draining your battery, that a new one on me.

I have a 2014 ultra with then new harley pager II REMOTE. I also have a 2012 FATBOY. Both bikes were in an enclosed trailer. I leave the key fobs in the trailer while traveling so that the alarms don't go off. I remove the key fobs when I park for the night. The pager is only synced with the ultra. And the ultras battery was dead the next morning. The fatboys battery was fine, which is why I suspect the pager is draining the battery.

When I bought my 15 Ultra I was told if I ever trailer it to be sure to put the alarm system in trailer mode. Was told if I didn't I would find the battery dead because of all the movement. I think I also saw the same thing in the owner's manual.

Thanks longridetx.... That is the problem. Since the ultra is heavier than the FATBOY, it vibrates a bit more in the trailer. Every vibration the security system checks for the key fob, and if found, disarms the security system. I assume this is probably happening a 100 times as I go down the road, thus draining the battery. In 'transport mode' vibrations are ignored. I will do this from now on.

Sorry for bashing the alarm pager.....my bad

I have the siren alarm with rechargeable pager, never had a hint of battery problems. And, the pager battery lasts for a couple of weeks between chargings.
