Angry Ugh

so I did a fluid change on my 2010 road king last week. First day riding lose speedometer. Odometer won’t go up. Turn signals won’t auto cancel. The. Finally bike almost stalled out. So what do I do whenever there’s an issue with the bike. I hopped on here and started researching. Everything pointed me to the VSS which on the 2010 is under the starter. So I start researching how to do it all. Seemed like it was all simple enough. Last night I tackled the challenge. Pretty sure I pulled the wrong part of the starter off. Lost one of the locking nuts somewhere. Rubber piece ripped exposing wires. So I’m pretty sure I messed something up. Cleaned the VSS like I planned but now the part of the starter that I pulled apart doesn’t seem to want to go back together at all. Working night shift next 3 nights so Monday I should have a completion of this mess and hope it all runs. Wish me luck

thanks, I am hoping that Monday or Tuesday everything will be good to go, hopefully cleaning the VSS was the right thing to do from the get go, was just shocked that all this stuff started to go awry after a fluid change. so we shall see. I'll post everything once it is complete

Thumbs up

So I got everything back together, bike is running strong no issues to note so far, so I think I have fixed all issues I was having. this forum is great for finding answers when hit with issues.
