If the brake light stays on when the rear switch is disconnected, there is only one way the lamp is getting power, through the front brake light switch...
But before you have a funeral for the switch, make sure it is not just simply stuck.
I unplugged the rear switch and brake lights still on, the only time when they go out is when I pull the brake relay, I took front switch apart today, its not stuck, moves freely, could the switch just have burnt out? Could it be an excused wire in the rear harness under the fender? The front brake switch is $70 and I have to splice it in, thats a lot of time and money if thats not the issue...I appreciate your help!! Thanks
They are $17 on eBay and mine has lasted longer then original. (May be that I put LED on brake light) The$17 one comes with wireing now that joins outside clamshell. The third hydraulic one I used was a life time AutoZone part.
