A lot of folks believe in “credit card and a cell phone “.
It’s been my EXPERIENCE that a plan like that breaks down pretty quickly when there’s little to no cell coverage and/or it’s late night or early morning and even if you have good cell coverage, nothing is open.
Sunday mornings out in West Texas you can find a gas station just fine when you need one, but you might find it CLOSED.

I agree, I like to be a little prepared.

I agree, and there will be no busting cases open on the road, by this fellow. For me the tools are for simple stuff, like parts trying to rattle off the bike, or if I need to pull the seat off and get to something. I can troubleshoot some of the minor issues that might come up, but major issues might have to go the credit card/cell phone route. Maybe someday I will know this bike well enough to say and do more, but not yet.
No roadside overhauls for me.
