Hey everyone, I’m new to the forum and I have a few questions. I started out on my dads old dyna until I purchased my first bike when I was 19. It was a 1200 sportster which I later sold and I just recently purchased a 2013 dyna superglide. It currently has 8” T-bars on it and I really want to go with a 10” or 12” ape hanger. I did 14” ape hangers on my sportster myself so I’m familiar with installing them. But I noticed I have A LOT of play in my cables and wiring and was curious if I needed to lengthen them to run a 10” mini ape? Any help would be great!
Hard to say, the previous owner may have over lengthened the extensions when doing the T bars.
Look at the measurements for bars you're considering, then eyeball where the grips would move to in relation to your present setup, accounting for a riser, pullback and width. Can you loosen the clamps on the cables and lines to see if they handle that position? Be sure to account for full lock turns.
Are the bars internally wired? Be careful pulling on the harness, it is possible to split a wire inside the insulation sheaf and they can be e bitch to track down.
Good luck.

First off, welcome aboard!
I put 10" on 2" risers on my 13WG and still have plenty of wiring left over.
Look where the wiring harness enters the frame neck. Take out the rubber grommet and there will be plenty of wire balled up inside the frame.
Thank y’all! Yea I can see where they did something with the wiring but I’m not sure if they extended them. The clutch cable stil feels kinda tight if I try to pull on it. All the other cables have some spare length. I ended up ordering 12” cable kit for the bike lol I had 14” apes on my old sportster and decided to bite the bullet and ordered the wiring/cable kit and I will decide on the bars at some point. I can’t decide on any. I really want the carlini but I don’t want to give an arm and a leg for bars. But I do understand you get what ya pay for lol.
