It provides a very thin film and is not intended to last for weeks or months but if used each time you clean your bike it provides protection. It is the quickest and easiest wax product I've used.
Collinite Insulator wax# 845. A little goes along way, you can get it on weather stripping and it does not leave any discoloration. Last for months, leaves a great shine.. Apply, let it haze, wipe it off. Easy to use..
I will never use wax again. Years ago I tried one of the spray detailers, wasn't impressed, tried another brand, no better, kept waxing. But, a year or so ago my indy, who is a Lucas Oil distributor, gave me a bottle of Lucas Spray Mist to try. It sat around for months before I tried it but, finally I got around to using it. All I can say is WOW! Superb, very deep glossy shine with hardly any effort. And it stays on for a while cause when I clean the bike with a damp microfiber then a dry microfiber I can still see the Lucas glossy shine--guess I'm using the Lucas after about 2-3 cleanings then apply it again.
So, I don't know if the Lucas is just far superior to the other brands or if maybe all the others are better than they used to be a few years ago but I never got the really deep glossy shine with any brand of wax that I get with this Lucas stuff--use in sun or shade, wet or dry, safe on glass, plastic, whatever.
No, I don't work for Lucas or receive any kind of compensation from anyone or anywhere. The Lucas is just really good sh*t!

I would agree with this! I've tried many but always end up back with Collinate.
Another use for Pledge is removing bugs -- it works great. When I was flying search & rescue (low and slow) the aircraft would be covered with bugs in the spring and summer when we'd get back to base. Break out the Pledge and the bugs just melt away.
