Default 14” Mayhem Bars

So I’ve been told that you can put 14” KST Mayhem Bagger bars on a street glide with stock clutch and brake cables by re-routing the cables and cutting all rip-ties.

Does anyone have experience with this or know if you can? Videos or pictures, please share. Currently have the 12” mayhems and from the peak to drop-down makes them right under the height I’d like them.

Always ran some sort of 12.5” bison bar on previous bikes, primarily road kings, and love them, but I’m trying to get away without replacing the cables.

Assume this is for your 2017? KST’s description under Mayhem bars reads: “2014-present 10 and 12” tall bars can be installed without replacing your brake and clutch. You will need our wire extension kit.” You are asking about 14” so I’m guessing you might need them. I know with the road glides 15 and later can go to 14” without having to replace cables.

I’m aware of what their website says, and that is without doing anything to the cables. The tech that installed the 12” just gave the cables a good pull. I was told you can cut all zip ties and re-routing under the tank. I’m not going to attempt just to come to a dead end though.
