2013 Harley Ultra , did handlebar install no start . Checked pin outs several times .Everything matches up on both sides of the connector . Checked the pins against ground with multi-meter and tone version . Nothing toned out ( tells me nothing is grounded inside the bars ) . Check right switch housing and everything works and fuel pump primes . If i put multi-meter on grey and black and white wire , switch tones with key on and in the run position . Then switch to off position and the tone stops . I think this is right with the grey and black and white wires controlling the engine stop .Check switch housings on both side and unscrewed clamps for switch housings and tried to crank . Installed all lights and running gear to rule out the lights . What all has to be hooked up to fire ? Check codes and i am getting a p1003 & p1353 . For the p1003 is a system relay contacts code . I didn't have another relay but i did swap the relay for the brake system . Not sure the odds of both relays being bad ? For the p1353 code i have no clue . The only other thing i replaced beside the handlebars is the fuel quick connect . Now i don't know if its a fuel problem or a bar problem but i am a grown man about to cry lol . Any info would be greatly appreciated , Thanks .
Throw some more bones our way...did you go w/ taller bars? Stock wiring, or extensions? Other than bars & fuel connect, any other fuel/electrical mods (tuner)? Did you disconnect battery/remove main fuse?
Yes taller bar kit from hill country customs w/ extension . Soldered connections . No other mods and pulled fuse during install . Checked all fuses w/ mulit-meter . Not sure what to test next
You say all seems normal lights fuel pump primes, cranks but no start.
the only thing you touched was the wires and fuel disconect.....
I would double check that fuel line.
P1353 Front Cylinder No Combustion , try reconnecting your fuel line as stated , partially blocked fuel valve ( quick connect ) would cause low fuel pressure . Check for spark as well , plugs and wires good .
Pulling tank off today , first time changing a fuel valve maybe I pinched or broke something . Could I rig up a fuel pressure gauge from harbor freight to check pressure , not sure . Thanks for the input .
I'd check for spark next so you can rule it out , if you think you have spark try a shot of starting fluid in the throttle body , it should pop off ,if it does then fuel is the issue , if not go back and re - check for spark.
