That depends on the specific gravity of the fuel, not the octane.

On pump gas the advantage of higher octane is that it lights off at a higher temperature, which helps prevent detonation.

Do you mean 93 octane, with ethanol?

When the gas pump had the big sign on it that said ETHYL, that was a good thing...

I`m almost 66, and that was before my time...

Sorry, you are correct "Ethyl" in the old days meant the good stuff, what I was referring to was the corn gas "ethanol". 100% high octane is becoming allot like Bigfoot, hard to spot.

yup, I can't find 93 pure near me, damn nebraskan's love their corn. I do have a pump nearby that has 91 pure and I run that anytime possible. I try to avoid ethanol at all cost in the bike and try to stay 91 or higher. Back when I was racing, I kept a 55gal drum of VP motorsport 103 in the garage but that **** gets expensive fast.

Corn may be good in sour mash but not my gas. Have you ever tried mixing a little racing gas with the 91% real gas? There is a station near me that has 91% real and 110% racing, may give it a shot.

May be 100% mental, but I notice. I have read volumes on the science of it, but they were problem written by guys that don’t believe that every eagle or American flag decal adds 5 HP each.

I've never noticed a difference because I've never used anything other than 93 to begin with

I just got 2 gallons of race 110 went for short ride then got 2 gallons of 91 pure gas. After that it was running real good and the right pipe is looking clean. smells so good. Im running lean do to SE pipe with no tuner yet. still looks lean but no more specs. Also ajusted TPS and a bit of MM oil to go with the race gas. Going to try just the pure gas for a while but even that is $1.50 more than regular. Race gas is $7.19 here so won"t be getting alot of that but want to get a bit more before I get a tuner.
