Default Chrome Wind Defectors

I have a 2003 Road King Classic. I am considering adding the chrome wind deflectors 58121-85B to my bike to cut down on some of the wind. Has anyone had any experience with these. Do they work? Do they reduce cooling of the engine? Should I use this independently or in conjunction with the chrome front fork air baffle 58520-79tc?

I've used deflectors, and to tell you the truth I really didn't notice much of a difference. I still prefer leather to stop the wind.

I'm looking to deflect the last bit of direct wind I get from my classic. I have the dragon wings and soft HD lowers. They all work great. Now...do the Chrome Wind Deflectors get that last botoff my knees and upper shins?

In advance-Thanks!

I agree 100%. I have them and bolt them on when it get's below freezing because they are "supposed" to do something. Honestly, I can't tell any difference with or without them.

I notice that when using the highway pegs I don't get cold air up my chaps/pant legs with the deflectors installed (highway pegs are inside the crashbars for lane-splitting), and the small area of wind behind the windshield and below the crossbar is still instead of slowly moving.

Hi. I have them with a small windshield on my bike. They work good. Obviously not as good as lower fairings, but they do break alot of of the hard leg splitting wind force of your legs. I got mine at a local swapmeet for 25 bucks. I think well worth it. They're a quick and easy bolt on, so if you decide you don't like them, it's no big deal to get rid of them and most likely sell them for what you have in them. If you have a crash bar I would recomend you get a set of wind deflectors with cutouts in them to clear the bar when your handlebars are turned all the way to one side or the other. Good luck.
