So my 2017 TC streetbob frequently gets over 250 degrees on the highway. If I try to run through town the bike jumps up to 280 easily even with the fan running. So my mods are Woods tw222 cam, S&S oil pump and cam plate, DK customs fan assisted 10 row oil cooler, 2-2 pipes,SE high flow intake, power vision with wideband sensors. Im under the impression that ideally the bike shouldnt go to much over 230 degrees.
What am I doing wrong with this thing?

It's a TC they run hot, I've rode mine all over the south west without any problem.
BTW if you're reading the head temp those numbers are normal.
Yes those were the engine temps coming from the power vision. The head temps generally are 320-350ish.
I appreciate the quick response. I was under the impression that the engine temp needs to stay under 230 or you could have some engine problems.
I guess I had higher expectations of the oil cooler when I put that on.

Nope oil temps are nice to keep under 230.. The engine temps are the temp of the front head intake side. It can get to 280 in traffic easy.
Summers, did the 10 row fan assist cooler make any difference in oil temp?
It cools down a lot faster when I hit the highway than without the cooler but I dont think the fan pulls enough air through to make a difference if youre in stop and go traffic.
I'd been fighting with heat off the bike since last summer. Seemed to almost torch the left leg of my jeans and redden the skin underneath from the heat.
I started reading up on PV-1 settings and options and chose to do the following: Tuned basic global fueling +2% and low revs fuel +3%. Big difference in heat at idle /low speed operation, no more burning thigh in traffic. Bike runs smoother across all revs.
Stock 96 tc Ultra, stock exhaust, Fuel moto air filter setup. PV-1 with FM's recommended tune.
