Default Isolating primary

I’m redoing my oil lines and I’m a bit confused. The top nipple attached to the case was where front chain oiler was attached to at a tee. Some photos show that the top nipple goes to oil tank but my oil tank has no nipple on top.
then the feed on the oil pump is teed off and attached to the brass nipple and then routed to the feed on the oil tank. Is this correct ?

Obviously you have a chain oiling shovel.. Your best bet is to post in the Shovel section.. I owned one Shovel that was already converted so I really can't help you but the guys over in the Shovel section will make it right for you...
