Default What does your passenger say is the best touring seat?

I see a lot on here and other websites about what is the best seat according to the operator. I want to know what are good seats for my passenger. I just replaced my 2009 Electra Glide Classic (totaled) with a 2019 Electra Glide Standard. Previous owner put a stock Street Glide/Road Glide seat on it and the wife hates it. She says it is too hard and too narrow. She just informed me that she didn't like the Sundowner seat we had on our old Electra Glide either (who knew?), but did like what was on our old Road King (a Harley brand that I honestly can't remember, not stock).

So, If y'all wouldn't mind asking your significant others what seat(s) they are really happy with, I would appreciate it. I'm really not concerned about myself or looks. I've always hanged longer in the saddle than her and switching back to the old seat for looks is just the one screw when she's not with me. I'm 5'11" so need a normal positioned seat or something putting me a little closer to the controls. Thanks ahead.

Try a touring CVO seat. The later ones have the hammock feature for the rider. Rider and passenger heaters. Both positions are wider and better foam in my opinion. Your dealer may even have a demo one to try.

My girlfriend loves the Mustang Wide Touring seat. Much better than the stock one. She picked it out.

Shortly after getting my 2019 Street Glide I sat on the passenger seat to see how it felt. Like a brick. Got a Mustang seat and wife is very happy.

I went with a Mustang two piece , you can choose between a backrest for yourself , or get the back rest option for your wife , which is what I did . When the tour pack isn't installed , I use the back rest option for my wife , makes her feel safe . I went with the two piece because I mostly ride solo , looks a lot nicer than having a passenger seat , remove it and add a chrome rack .

I see that you have a tour pack , but if you ride with your wife and don't need it , your wife will still have a back rest .

Oh yah , and she loves it , the 12-13" width is perfect , she can ride all day with me without complaining , well , for the most part , Lol . . .

On my 01 Roadglide I used a stock seat from a Road King and it was 100 times better, and I got it pretty cheaply!

I bought a used seat from a 2018 CVO Limited and put it on my 2013 and my wife loves it. I traded that bike for a 2018 Limited this spring and kept the seat. The size and shape of the CVO seat looks exactly the same as the stock seat on the new bike. We left the stock seat on when we went to Myrtle Beach bike week and found that it wasn't nearly as comfortable. I think they use a different foam for the CVO like NODYNA said.

My RGS has the Le Pera Maverick and my wife says it is better than my HD Sundowner on my LRS.

I can't help you with aftermarket seats, but my wife very much prefers the stock Ultra Limited seat to the stock Road King seat. The Ultra is wider and thicker. My buddy has a 2014 Ultra CVO and his stock seat is nicer than mine, feels better like nickrat said. Plus it's heated. I'm on the lookout for a heated CVO seat for the Ultra.
