Battery Shelf Life?
2020 Ultra Limited- build date Aug 2019. I've had it since Sep 2019. It felt a little weak this winter so I kept it on a tender even though riding almost every day. Last week I unknowingly left the ignition on for about 6 hours and ran the battery down. Put it on the tender over night and it cranked the next morning and I've been running it fine since. Meter shows it charing normally going down the road and crankiing strong all the time now. I don't mind it going out on me here locally. I can always jump it to get home, but I'm planning a 7k mile trip and don't want to take any chances. I just bought a new battery and was wondering how long I could keep it on the shelf before installing it and it not be harmed? Would like to wait until I'm closer to the trip.
