Hello my bike has a popping sound when at operating temperature when idling and i slightly roll on throttle and let go of throttle ... is this a cause for concern or just the nature of the beast? I'm running stock exhaust factory tuner . Bike has 12,000 kms fresh spark plugs. Just came back from dealer full service .
No a tire change sparkplugs just factory service it did it in the fall i dropped it off for warm winter storage full fluid change and lube as well as brake fluid flush wasn't so bad earlier in the cooler weather but at 80 degrees it pops ... not while driving or downshifting
could it have something to do with the longer lobe factory cams ? I read they are factory set real lean from manufacturer . If so will it damage engine ? should I look into a new tuner ? It has rushmore package from manufacturer.

Depending on how fast you let off throttle. Your bike has throttle by electrical wire.
It's designed to prevent throttle like old bikes did with a cable by slamming shut the intake air and leaving a very rich fuel injection squirt with no air.
My guess in normal running down the road, it doesn't do it. Your tricking or basically doing something too quick for system to respond too .
Harley's stock exhaust is pretty free flowing with both mufflers tied together so each cylinder shares both and the previous charges help drag out the other since cylinders fire 180 from each .
(Probably more accurately said 360 since it's a 4 stroke but basically they don't fire at same time)
PS.
Welcome Robert.
Hope you enjoy your ride here.
Only as a suggestion, create a signature
line for your bike, year, model, and all the
code letters.
You can add a bike photo to the signature too that you are using in your Avitar and it will display bigger.
And as a suggestion, make your next new post over in the new member welcome area to say hello. This original got moved my administration.

If it is 2016 make sure the ETMS is turned off. That's exactly what it does when activated. Drops down to the front cylinder when the air temps is above 80* and as soon as you touch the throttle the cylinder comes back in.
Bike has to be under something like 5 mph i think for it to work.
Owners manual or service manual will tell you all about it.
