I have a 2005 88” that I’m having bored to a 95, I’m using wiseco forged 9.5 to 1 tracker pistons with the fueling 543 cams. My heads are being milled slightly to smooth out the mating surface. What thickness gasket should I use to get 10 to 1 compression or slightly higher without compression releases.
Set the pistons to a zero deck height in the cylinders
Use a 0.030" head gasket
Have the head gasket surface milled until you have a 78cc combustion chamber
Added: This is assuming these pistons are flat top.
The most common size I see is .030, from Harley and cometic. James makes a .35, but since you want to 10, I am guess you want .03. Email cometic or one of the other companies you are working with
Funny how .030 has become common. I believe stock is .043 or .045. Going thinner was seen as crazy by some back then.

Why is that? It's not just a compression thing. Stock is what it is because of the variance in how far in the hole the pistons are and the size of the chambers from one engine to the next and deemed "safe"
A tighter squish is beneficial. .030 to .035 is ideal. Some have done and they sell a .027.

Thinner than what? 0.030? or 0.045?
When was "then"
