Came to work one day on a Saturday. No one else there. Streets empty except this one guy practicing wheelies and donuts on a stock 80cu late eighties FXR. He had no problem. He would wheelie down to the end of the street, do a donut and return doing another wheelie. Made it look easy. Said stock hp was plenty. If fact preferable for him. It's all about technique and skill. I have neither at his level

Didn't say I could do it. Not even close. Didn't say you could do it. Didn't take him much speed at all. He would yank it up to the balance point almost straight up and stand on custom rear pegs. Small skid plate at rear fender just in case. Down the street like a unicycle. Maybe 30 mph 40 max. Set the front end back down, stop and plant a foot and spin the bike around like a dirt bike. All on smooth asphalt. Said he did shows and exhibitions. About 10 years ago

Any truth to the rumour you can cash in 64 cross thread points for a pineapple pizza?

all I remember is keeping my right foot off the brake. Over 4 decades ago on dirt bike… never street and practice. Then I quit riding for over 25 years. No desire to do so and I have a RGS. Not exactly wheelie material. Watch the guys on dynas at az bike week but those are young guys on light bikes. Balance is important with self and on bike.
