Hey guys and gals. Does anyone remember the very heavy car covers that you could buy once upon a time, I'd like to ha e one like that for my bike but all I can find are the very light ones. I'm gonna be going away for a few months next month and I want to bring my bike with me because I'll be away for the spring and beginning of summer. My bike will be in the box of my pickup and I want to keep it safe from the elements. Don't get me wrong though I don't mind it being in the elements as long as I'm riding it, but in the off months it sleeps in a nice warm garage. Anyway the cover I'm looking for is very heavy and very thick and wouldn't mind 100 kms an hour in the back of a truck, I know someone has to remember the ones I'm talking about.
Putting a cover on your bike will beat the crap out of your paint driving with it in the back, better with no cover in my opinion.
I agree with the covers that are available, but the cover I'm talking about wouldn't scratch anything. They were a very heavy, thick cloth material with a very soft fuzzy inside.

Becareful hauling you bike in the back of a truck with a heavy cover on it, it will more than likely scratch the paint.

The covers don`t scratch the paint, it is the dirt and grit that gets between the cover and the paint.
I thought even know it all's knew that.
Another vote for BAD IDEA.
