Check engine light on and off
I have an 01 FXDX with a carburetor and a SE computer module.
My check engine light has been coming on for a little bit and then going off usually only around 80 mph but today it did it more often and for longer also it did it at 30 mph as well. I went to the HD shop and asked if they could see what the light was and he said it would be an hour at the shop rate of $150.
When I lived in So-Cal I took it to the Victorville shop and the took it around back read the cod and came back with it like 10 min later and told me the issue for free. ****ing Reno HD is some bullshit. So that is now my problem, trying to find out why the light is coming on without paying for an hour of labor.
When it comes on the bike sounds the same and the throttle response and sounds are the same so I dono what the prob is. I changed my plugs just for the lol's but I haven't ridden it yet. They were a nice perfectly cooked marshmallow brown on the tips and show no unusual oddities.

Got the Speedo to display the error it came up as 76 which is Historic 14 ET sensor open/high.
Thing is this is an 01 there is no engine temp sensor or at least not where I'm told it's supposed to be behind the horn near the intake valve port.

I just talked to a different HD shop and the service advisor talked to a tech while he worked because none were available to talk on the phone. He said to check the oil pressure sensor. So it's only $20 I'm gonna go grab one from the shop and do an oil change while I'm at it. Not due for another like 500 miles but close enough since I'll be ****ing with **** anyway.
Not sure how a pressure sensor could throw an over temp code but considering how it feels good while the light is on its worth a shot.
