On my 2023 Road Glide Limited, the Push Button Fuel Console Door release, (that's the little round button I press to open the little door that gives me access to the gas cap), doesn't open when I press the button. I spent 15 minutes at a gas station this morning, listening to people beeping at me while I was trying to get the damn door to open. I finally got it open, and spent some time with it this afternoon. The only way I can get it to open is by putting a popsicle stick that's been sanded down VERY thin into the door, to apply upward pressure on the door. When I do that it opens. It seems like the mechanism that is actuated by pressing the round button on the fuel console, doesn't open the latch enough.
Just wondering if there's a simple way to resolve this.
1. It is still under warranty, have the dealer fix it.
2. Could just need adjustment by loosing the nut holding the button mechanism.
3. Or the metal spring hinge on the door is not functioning correctly. Check the screws holding it on.
4. If it worked when new, it just might need a little lube.

I couldn't tell you how many of these things I replaced under warranty while working for a dealership as my retirement gig. I'd replace one and 2 weeks later, he'd be back with the same issue. It's just a bad design. If you push down on the fuel door while pressing the button, it will pop open.
