Yeah, was referring to earlier post. Still learning this interweb thing. Electrical gremlins are the worst to track down.

besides the crank sensor, the module requires an IGNITION ENABLE command for the Bank Angle Sensor (BAS) in the TSMTSSM. the BAS is known to fail and disable spark.a troubleshooting technique is to remove the Light Green wire with Gray stripe (ltgn/gy) from pin 10 of the TSM/TSSM and ground it. the ignition enable command is a hard ground on the ltgn/gy wire going into the ignition module, pin 10 of the black connector. ANY voltage on that wire will disable spark.if you remove the ltgn/gy wire from the TSM and ground it and spark returns, you have verified the BAS has failed and should be replaced.
out there in netland there is a hack for that at board level but if your system has a dtc lamp, it will stay lit.

The reason I say float needle or float bowl is if there's **** in the bowl it'll settle, then get sucked up into the hole while it's running
until it gets starved for fuel again and stalls.
Drop the bowl clean it out and check the float moves freely, but don't force it if it doesn't.

There shouldn't be a fuel filter unless it was added. How did you bypass petcock?? I would just let vacuum **** do its thing. I really doubt it is starving it of gas so bad it can't idle. I think that would show up at higher speeds.

Will it start and run eventually?

And again what are you doing with your hand down by the enricher? Leave it all the way out.

Is this bike new to you?

Ok I seemed to have found the problem, a local mechanic told me that the ignition module on these bikes don't like cold weather, which I found bizarre, but had to see if he's right.

In the attached video, I warmed up the ignition module and the problem went away completely, so now the question is should I buy another ignition module? These are pretty expensive, or should I insulate it to keep it warm?

If this needs to be changed, any recommendations as to what and where to buy a replacement from?

Thanks again.

I thought the petcock filter could've been blocked, so I just used an external fuel supply to bypass everything and go direct to the carb.

My left hand was just pulling the manual choke as the bike was cold.

Ok I insulated the ignition module (video attached) and now it seems to be running good, not sure weather this will heat up on longer rides or what the effect will be, but it's working ok now.

This is one of the craziest things I have heard. Replace it, it will not get better with time. How cold is it? 30s is nothing. Plus insulation doesn't make it warm to start, it will eventually become ambient temps.

Also insulating electronics to me is a bad idea, they need to cool.

My 2001 is on its 3rd ignition module, fail about every 45k miles. Harley no longer makes modules and you need to go after market.

It will not get better.

But the choke should stay out on its own.
