How to do away with external oil filter??

Original flter was a part flow the filter on the bike is as said a aftermarket screw on full flow
the original type i have in stock and IF i can remember i will take pictures tomorrow and show you the correct type and what not to use as well as a mod you should be doing as well

I have a 1981 Harley fxwg, Im in the process of turning It into flh but my question is how do I get rid of external oil filter, I want to use the drop in oil filter but wasnt sure how to take off the external one it sticks out of the side of the bike just dont like the look.
