I don’t judge, but I quickly identify those I stay away from when riding. A good riding partner is as hard to find as a good significant other or a hunting partner. It takes only a second to know, “stay away” from this one or “okay” with proper handling I can ride behind this one.
If he is checking his blind spot device by garmin, I’m long gone from anywhere near him. Hey, cross points, do I get a prize? More than likely, just a warning.
I sometimes think we forget why we ride motorcycles. I have more patience with a newbie than a careless over confident riders. I also think the simpler your motorcycle, the safer you ride. It forces you to develop good habits.
Back to topic. I don’t waste my time critiquing other riders, clothes, safety gear, music, bling. I instantly say safe/not safe and ride accordingly.
I critique myself pretty hard, so I do judge, but I'm not going to say anything unless someone's being stupid. Everybody on a motorcycle is just out trying to enjoy their life. We have all done, and probably still do dumb and somewhat dangerous things out of ignorance or complacency sometimes. I like watching a skilled rider. You don't even have to pull wheelies to impress me. I just like seeing that high level of relaxed control. I saw a guy pull up & stop at a red light without putting a foot down. He was stopped for about 10 seconds before the light changed and he took off. That was pretty damn cool.
I'm gonna be honest, (and maybe get "Canceled" by some liberal on this forum, lol!), but I critique/judge EVERYONE. Fellow bikers, cage drivers, people in my neighborhood, people in the grocery store, co-workers, even family members......everybody. And I do it for a reason. How am I supposed to know how I DON'T want to behave or act? Or how I DO want to behave or act? I judge people to see who the "Good" guys are, and who the "Bad" guys are. Who I want in my circle, and who I don't. After 65 trips around the sun, I feel that I've earned that choice. The choice to judge. And although some would never admit it, we ALL do it..........
I consider myself quite liberal, even by Scandinavian standards, and I see absolutely nothing wrong with what is stated here. In fact I quite agree.
Only on ********* always running high beams or offroad lights. For anything else
Although sometime having fun on rides with stupid or silly looking installs (my fav are handlebar, light and fairing mount "upgrades" on shark noses) and people wearing leather chaps (always asking is it a gay rodeo somewhere around).
