Default Used Fuelpak FP3 Useless?

There is a used Fuelpak FP3 on ebay, and after reading AI about it in general, it appears it can't be used on another bike. Is that so?

Has anyone tried to un-marry one?

I mean, I've seen some for sale on marketplace and they are all gone, so there might be a way?

I believe you can buy another license to marry it to a different bike but AI would certainly know more than me!

Ha! No Ai just reads stuff here and there and it wouldn't suggest anything illegal or borderline illegal. I just googled this and the first response was Ai

Can you elaborate? I'm thinking of using it with my 2016 RK with the Rushmore High Output (103 HO) engine

I would call Vance & Hines before you buy it to make sure they'll issue a new license for a discontinued tuner.

I know it's not exactly the same, but I have the FP4 on my 2011 street glide with slip-ons and a high flow air cleaner, and it tuned the bike just right. Bluetooth connectivity required WIFI and a few tries to connect, and I think that's where people are quick to say it's trash.

Useless indeed. Was on hold for over 45 minutes and they just said, we don't offer licenses like that and product has been discontinued. That's it.

So say, I'm the original owner and got a new bike I can't use this device for anything except a limited diagnostic tool.

I'm disappointed in h&v

So the major complaints about FP4 are that it's epa compliant. The description reads "Mapping options are limited to products that are EPA compliant." So what good is it then? Unless I'm in CA I don't care about that and there's power degradation with that.
