Just bought my first bike a 2024 Road Glide, My son and I are planning a trip to New Mexico from Louisiana in a month or so, Do any of you know a Mapping App that has weather overlays on it we will obviously check the weather prior to leaving but I would like to have a weather overlay on my screen while navigating, Looked the embedded weather from HD but has horrible reviews from what I have read so far Any help would be appreciated
MyRadar is a pretty good free ap that will give you what you are looking for. With CarPlay I can put it on the bikes screen while riding to see if I am hitting a small pocket of rain or wall of rain. Good luck.
My brother uses Drive Weather exclusively. I have once or twice and it is pretty good. The free version will give you a couple of days forecast, paid does more.

Apple or Android?
Android, I just started using "Weather&radar". No animated radar while moving. But so far it seems promising.
Weather Channel just put the city you want and go. For me its not the destination its the ride.I look at the weather all of the time if its bad in my destination I go towards the sunshine if possible

unless it is a tornado or a hurricane, i do not worry even at 75 and been riding since i was 12. try throwing the beaumont enterprise middle of winter, so cold that could not get engine heat for the hands so some one did not get a paper that day since i burned it. speaking on NM, so cold one morning the electric foot would not work so out the manual foot (remember those??) and it started but in the process cracked the primary case, leaked oil till i got to cali and found another case.
sometimes scary though, ever been across a brick street in the rain and tried to stop, went though the red light side ways.
