I ride an '07 Street Bob, and a buddy of mine is planning to get an '08 Fat Bob. Since they're both Dynas, would we be able to swap the mid controls on my bike to his and the forward controls on his bike to mine? Are there any issues that come up from switching them out? Is this something we can do ourselves? I'm probablysomewhere between a novice and an intermediate mechanic. The only work I've done on my bike is switch the stock mufflersto slip-ons, but I've done quite a bit of non-engine work on my cars (changed the springs and struts on 2 cars,brake pads, rotors and lines, oil change, tune up, radiator, water pump, thermostat). Also, would we be able to swap out primary covers? The cover on my bike has a hole for the shift lever that I'm sure he'll need more than me.
