Default 2005 FXDLI

I am taking delivery on my Dyna Lowrider next month. I want to add Vance and Hines straight shots, air cleaner, and computer download. Someone told me a horror story about the download and that my bike will run really bad. Does anybody have any info on this????

Havent heard any negatives myself, If the dealer does it , you should be fine.

You need it dyno'd or remapped by the dealer if you are putting pipes on or you will run lean.
I have never heard of any negatives thru a dealership download.
Mine runs great after vance and hines big radius pipes, stage one air kit, and a dealer download. I even took baffles out and it still runs good.

Without the download, your bike will not run as well as it should. The download will tell the computer how to schedule the fuel and air mixture for the new bike configuration (new pipes, intake, whatever...)

I have an 05 Low Rider and put a V&H Pro Pipe on it w/the SE stage 1 and a dealer remap. It runs great. No problems what so ever. It feels like the front end wants to come up off the ground everytime I twist the wick

I am very pleased with my Stage 1. No problems at all.

Breaknbad, what do you think of the Big Radius pipes? I'm getting the stage 1 done on my FXSTI before i pick it up and am having the screaming eagle slip-ons put on. But i really like the look of the Vance And Hines, i was really pushing the financial limits when i bought the bike so couldn't afford the pipes then and just did the slip-ons for now but i'm looking to purchase them a few months from now. i'm also thinking of the side shots.
