I can build a computer, trouble shoot a computer, and fix just about anything when it comes to computers.

But engines just confuse me. I never was good at it. My brother would tear apart big block and build them back up again and I was only good at drinking his beer and handing him tools.

I'd like to learn, but no one wants to teach me for free.

Well, for my .02. I have been wrenching, welding, and building stuff since I was 12. Built tons of 60's/70's muscle cars (440 Duster, Boss 302 in a '61 Falcon, 69 Z-28 with 570 BBC Roller). Have all my tools, and a great garage with heated floor. Wife bought me a BOB 1500 lift for Christmas 2 yrs ago. I do the small routine stuff- but I am with Pilot...... I have gotten to the point that I can afford myself. HD has too many specialized tools, they are a pain about the warranty when my fingers have been there, and I would rather ride the bike for the time I would spend working on it! Funny how the priorities change as the odometer of years rolls up...

Hey Joe I sold the car, it was a 80 camero, still had power window's , the small block was a 14to1 compression 406 motor,it had trickflow head's that I ported and polished and I un shrouded the valves to macth the bore which was 40 over, that would make it a 409 wouldn't it,any way's it was a strong motor, I didn't run it over 10 to 12 pass'es, everone I raced with quit so that left me by myself so I sold out and got back into go karting pretty heavy for a year or so until every one quit that to [:@], so I said to heck with everbody and me and two other freind's all bought Harley's and I don't care if they quit or not cause I'm going to ride on.[sm=burnout.gif]

Adam, what did you decide? Tools and grease, or credit card and service manager?

Nothing to decide, I have done and will continue to do all I can. This thread was just out of curiosity. Unless I don't have the tools and/or time, I will do the work myself.
