Melted plastic on chrome exhaust

Default Melted plastic on chrome exhaust
Well I did it today! Not even 600 miles on my '08 Ultra and the connector for my heated jacket liner touched the exhaust and melted a large blob on the chrome.

Any suggestions on how to clean this without damaging the chrome?

The first thing I would try is brake cleaner.

if that doesn't do a good enough job here are some other ideas. check out melted shoe on pipe thread. i bumped it up to the top for you.

Ive alsoremoved itwith bug and tar remover.
