General Topics/Tech TipsDiscussion on break in periods, rider comfort, seats and pad suggestions. Tech tips as they become available will be posted here.
I tip bar tenders and waitress good, for the most part the rest it's their job.
I round off on some stuff here there. Dog groomers gets a $20. But no, it's there job. I can't help but think this is virtue signalling for some, make sure everyone sees you wearing a mask too.
My boss tips me, by paying the price we agreed apon.
I tip my mechanic with a 18 pack every time he works on the bike. Do not give the 18 pack until the work is done. It works out rather well. Did I forget to mention I am the mechanic
I tip bartenders and waitresses/ waiters. I also tip the barber. I think I tip well
On the other hand, tip jars at register counters involving no additional service annoy me. So does the "suggested tip" when using a card. Like I can't do simple math.
I have given my Service Writer and Mechanic a lil Christmas gift or when they go above and beyond. They do something for me, I do something for them. I do not take my bike into service very often anymore as I do my own maintenance. But when I do, I know I am demanding and they know I expect a quick turn around. That service is rewarded when done well and fluently.
No doubt about them remembering you, I know all my customers that tip the techs, and if they do a good job request them next time you bring your bike in. That makes them feel good and shows the Service Manager they're doing a good job.
They should do a good job no matter. No way I’d ever go to a dealer.. No way I’d ever Tip them… are you guys kidding me? The ones I’ve been around are rude arrogant and incompetent. I’m sure there are great mechanics out there. I’m sure there are dealers that mean we’ll. The ONLY exception was the Monroeville Roaders.. And Harley shut them down. Tip… I wouldn’t give them the revenue of a T-shirt.
I always tip waitresses and hospitality workers.. even if the service is bad I tip 20%. I tip the lady who cuts my hair, no way I’m tipping some guy to jack everything up, charge through the nose and treat me with disrespect while Im there.
