update on this noise thing.after doing 50 m.p.h and pulling in on the clutch i was surprised to hear the noise stopped *#!*.I suppose unless any one has anything else to try that we may have overlooked,i'll have to tear into the trans area
(solo this time as the trans supposedly has been all gone through..by a fellow in Colo.
who's been in buiseness for over 30 years).harley shop in S.L.C asked if the clutch was installed correctly.Any ideas? (cowboy,i'll ride it for a while yet, shoot,my woman cant even hear the noise yet)
if you pull in the clutch and the noise stops, the problem is not the tranny. when you disengage the clutch while rolling the tranny is still moving internally all the way back to the clutch. sounds like a clutch problem to me.
Does it happen in gear only and with clutch engaged or can you hear it in neutral with clutch engaged...if yes to neutral does operating the lever change it....if it does its probably in the clutch or primary I would think.
