Default How to cut the windshield

Guy's and Girls, I need you're help. I have a fatboy 2003 and just replaced the stock headlight assembly with a bigger unit. Know when I go to place my winshield back it does not fit. I need to cut a bigger opening on the bottom of my windshield to make room for my new headlight. It does come with an out line that tells me were and how much I need to cut to make it fit,but it does not tell me how to do it. Could any body tell me what tool or how to do it without messing up the windshield.

Thanks

FIRST, put wide masking tape on BOTH sides of the windshield. Use a saber saw with a fine blade. Cut it slowly. Then use a file, followed by sandpaper to smooth out the cut.
I have cut many windshields down and this is the way I have done mine.

I need to cut my windshield also to make space for a fork mount toolbag. Thanks for the suggestion SHEP. Do you think a Dremel tool would work as well?

A Dremel might work but I'm thinking the high RPM will generate too much heat and melt the windscreen rather than cutting it.
