I had my stepdads friend take a look (and a listen) at the bike becasue hes been workin on Harleys for years. He determined its either a lifter block or the valve spring. We're going to take it apart, and I'll let ya'll know what the final verdict is when it's all fixed, and possibly get sum pics of the bike up. Story behind the stepdads friend thing... I'm seventeen years old... and it's pretty freakin awesome owning my own Harley. I aint into the sport bike thing

Nothin' like startin' out right when entering the muttersickle world!
A couple days and $305 later the bike is fixed and running excellent. It was the valve spring that broke so the valve was hitting the piston. I'm glad it was something fairly minor... could have been sooo much worse.
Man, what would have caused this to break when sitting? How far below zero did you guys get this last winter? Probably a stress crack that had been growing and this last sit and start pushed it over the edge...
