General Topics/Tech TipsDiscussion on break in periods, rider comfort, seats and pad suggestions. Tech tips as they become available will be posted here.
Well, I ended up with contacts, and for the MSF course I ended up using my remington shooting glasses, with the yellow/amber lenses. I used 'em for the break-in period of my Harley, but I was trying to find out if they've got UV protection.
It's looking like remington just bought them from another vendor. I've found both Remington and Stren "Sports Master II" glasses. Anyone know who really makes 'em? I'm really liking 'em thus far.
The Stren's specify that they block UV, and I'm betting that the Remington's do too. As far as colors, I wear dark shades during the day. The yellow just gathers too much light. I wear yellow at night, and in low light situations, ie rain storms, etc.
Off topic, but I used to wear BlueBlockers over my prescription glasses. They had a tendency to make everything orange look pink. I'm stopped at a traffic light one day with them on and a "pink" semi pulls up beside me. I swear to God, my first thought was "How in the Hell much Mary Kay do you have to sell to win a semi?" Lifted up my BlueBlockers and sure enough it was an orange Roadway truck.
