Rear Sprocket
I was helping my nephew take his rear tire off to change as he got less than 2/32 left on the tire and found that the rear sprocket had almost all the chrome gone from the upper part of the teeth, with one valley void of chrome. Plus this one valley has a lump in it that has marked the belt. He has only 11k on this. Would this be a warrenty item, or is he going to have to eat the problem and buy a new sprocket

ask your dealer, is it still under warranty? if you still got the wheel and sprocket off, then take it to the dealer and see what they think. they might just smooth out the lump and polish it and send you on your way. i'd be checking. those low riders do rock, i diggum.

they might also end up replacing the belt as the belt may have gotten damaged by the lump. if so, then let the harley warranty take care of it. i hope this helps. it's goofy stuff like this that the japanese manufacturers don't seem to have problems with. just us harley guys. and the production flaws or poor design elements are showing up every year, sorta like clockwork. hope you get the issue resolved.
