Default Tool Bag on Downtubes

Has anyone ever had a problem with a tool bag mounted on the downtubes in front of the oil filter or voltage regulator? Seems to me that with the tool bag placed there and the airflow to either the oil filter or voltage regulator blocked that temperatures on one or the other would be dramatically increased, neither of which is desirable. Need comments. Thanks.

BTW - I ride a Softail.

And so do I, but that location doesn't seem good for the oil filter or voltage regulator.

See them also but I personally would not do it. I want all the air I can get hitting that area.

Exactly, but why don't those that up the tool bag there not mention any problems? Seems to me that it is only a matter of time until a hot day shows the problem.

No problems here. I don't think air flow over an oil filter would be an issue & the voltage reg is not covered.

my bag has been on my downtubes for over 6000 miles. placement is not an issue.
I worry more about the back of the front fender getting scratched from the buckles than I do about the airflow the bag is blocking.
its yet to present a problem and I dont think it ever would.
