GPS sound problem
Hey, I just installed a Powerlet and a Garmin GPS on my FXSTC. Everything is working fine except the GPS doesn't have a headphone jack. Is there a way to use bluetooth to hear what the GPS is saying?
No bluetooth with the 255w..
I use a Nuvi 750..it has an mp3 player
with a headphone jack.I just plug it into the
aux/ input on my stereo and get music and
turn by turn directions. It's a discontined model,
but I got it for $105 on ebay (refurbished).
Garmin does make several models that do have
bluetooth capabilities. see www.garmin.com

Thanks. I'm not sure what to do. I think I just need to buy a new one and make sure it has a head phone jack. I don't know what the hell to do with the old one though. I'd also have to find a new ram mount that the new GPS will fit.
I originally selected this one because it was recommended to me on this forum. Maybe I can trade with someone.

very few garmin gps units have an earphone jack anymore.
from what i can see on the garmin website www.garmin.com
only the zumo's have one now. and they are VERY expensive.
i just got a 1490t (works great on the bike btw) and am thinking about opening it up and
adding an earphone jack myself.
