Time To Put Up the Bike - Winterize!

Any good tips anyone has for winterizing their bike this season? I usually just drain the gas, change the oil and put it up on a lift for the season.

I never drain it, I fill it up and add stabilizer and run it so the stabilizer gets through all the lines. I change all three holes of fluid, wash and wax and cover.

Correct on keeping the tank filled. Helps keep the condensation out of the tank. Just reat it with Sta-bil. and of course hook it up to a Battery Tender. Tires on a hunk of carpet.

I am not sure that keeping the tank full is still the right thing to do. Gas has changed so much in recent years, it goes bad too fast, and stabil really isn't enough for how long things sit for winter in Ohio. But condensation is certainly as bad or worse. I think on the bike I will still leave the tank full and add stabil, but I will drain the carb. Then in the spring I will drain the gas tank and use it in my lawn mower or something, and get some fresh gas then.
