what are some must have items you should include in your tool bag?

I keep 2 spark plugs, zip ties, allen wrenches, crescent wrench, rag, reg and #2 phillips screwdriver, good to have spare headlight bulb too.

Depends on what year your bike is. Is it ironhead era or newer. If newer,chances are you will never need much. If older , couple of spark plugs, roll of tie wire (comes in very handy sometimes), duct tape (this fixes everything) couple of screwdrivers, plug wrench,pair of pliers. Either a few different size wrenches or a couple of adjustables (1 small and a 12" incase you need to adjust rear axle). A spare link for chain can be a life saver too.

Oh and if older a qt of oil in the saddle bag comes in handy as well as a couple of rags. Use the rags to wrap tools.

10mm wrench for battery bolts.
