I am purchasing a 2008 ultra classic it is equipped with a security fab which must be in my pocket to start the bike, i have been told there is a code I can enter using the turn signal switch to set a custom override code, anyone have any knowledge of how to set the code.
Sorry Bout Dat! This is the procedure to enter the code without the fob!
The owners manual has the procedure in it - I just don't have 1 with me.
Turn IGN key to Ignition and immediately hold both turn switches in until 5 dashes appear in odometer window
Enter first digit of code (a) by pressing left turn switch (a) times
Press right tun switch 1 time
Enter second digit of code(b) by pressing left turn switch (b) times
Press right turn switch 1 time
Repeat procedure for 3rd, 4th & 5th digits
Of course you need to know what your code is! That's a whole nuther procedure to find out!
To find and change your code -
1)With an assigned fob present, turn IGN key IGNITION-OFF-IGNITION-OFF-IGNITION
2)Press left turn signal 3 times
3) Press right turn signal switch 1 time and release. Turn signals will flash 3 times. Current PIN will appear in odometer. The first digit will be flashing
4)Enter first digit (a) of a new PIN by pressing left turn signal a times
5)Press right turn signal switch 1 time and release. The new digit (a) will replace the current in odometer window.
6) Enter second digit (b) of new PIN by pressing left turn signal switch b times
7)Press right turn signal switch 1 time and release. The new digit (b) will replace the current in odometer window.
8) Do the same for digit c, d & e - BEFORE the module rearms turn the ignition key OFF.
