Basic Maintenanceaa
This year I'm looking to start doing all of my own maintenance on my Sportster and was wondering if you guys had any kind of checklist of what to look at/what fluids to top off or replace (oil, clutch, brakes?) especially for my first tune up after I take it out of storage in the spring.

Depends on how many miles you ride but I do that basics engine oil once a year (never park mine but in your case when you put it up) Filter ever other oil change. Transmission and primary ever third year. Cheap enough to probably do the primary and transmission ever two. Dot 5 brake fluid ever 5 or pad change. (I just remove most of masters and bleed out and refill couple three times) Dot 4 probably should be ever 3 years. Fork fluid drain and refill ever 3 years. Clutch check ever 5K. Mine didn't change in last 10K. Primary chain adjust ever 10K after 2nd normal per maintenance check. (lets it groove in and then the rollers roll) Plugs ever 10K. (they would probably go 100K) Have 40K on my 04 and it runs like new. Get you a Harley service manual and electrical diagnostic manual.
