the 660 comes with a mount that has a cover when GPS is not mounted on the bike.

I'm not sure just who you're asking. But, on my setup, I have two spots for the hookup.
The original one is a fused and switched wire running from the battery, along the frame, under the tank, then zip tied up to the bars. There's a rubber plug that I got off of a computer cable that slides over the plug when it's not in use.

The more recent one is a Power Port on the bars. That one has a built in rubber cover on it for when there's no device plugged. The one time that I had rain and wanted to keep using it I just slipped a zip lock bag over it. The wire for this goes in the bag with the GPS when it's not on the bike.

I use one of the Ram mounts and love it.They make a low profile ball mount that fits the bars so you can remove all but the small mount. They are usable to hold other items too. I use mine with a drink holder adapter when the GPS is not in use. Steady as a rock.

Not sure where all the suction cup comments are coming from.... the link took me to a glue-on mount.

Actually it looks like a great idea to be able to mount my camera to my helmet, with a tether of course.

Default My final decision (for now)

I picked up one of these (with the bags), and will mount a waterproof ram case to it. I like a center mount vs a handlebar, and think it will be better than the gas cap mount.

I will take a few pics once I get all the pieces in, and mounted up.

My main idea was finding a fairing mount that I could use without drilling any holes - and it seems like this is the best way to go. Figure I will just run the cord to the aux outlet (although I will try to find a way to hide it without drilling if I can).
