Default Talk about service...

I gotta say my dealership just gained my serious respect. Here's the story. I've gotta get my 1000 mile service done (I'm at 1200 right now; couldn't get it done over the weekend because the dealerships were closed for the holiday) so I call the service department today and try and get it scheduled. They ask when I wanna drop it off and so I tell em at 6 tonight. They say they close at 6. That sucks right? So the girl asks if I can drop it off in the morning...no deal, there's nobody there when I pass the dealership at 6:30am on the way to work. I tell her that I gotta get it done soon though cause it's my daily rider and I'm already at 1200 miles. She says no problem, someone will come and get it. Now, I work about 40 miles away from the dealership so I make sure I tell her and she says no problem again. Okay, so now's there's a catch right? Wrong! There's no charge for the pickup. And they're going to drop it back off before I get off work! So, being skeptical I ask if they're going to be able to get it back by that time and she said they should but if not they'll pick me up and take me to the dealership to get it.

Now, that's service. 160 miles for them to do my service. Amazing if you ask me.

Stones,

Did they tow it ride it? I'm guessing they towed? TNW, good for you, your dealership sounds like a decent one. You got that deal on your maintenance where it's all included too.

My brother's dealership in MA does the same thing, they come get his bike (towed) and do the service, and bring it back...

Where did I read about the wrenches test riding the hell out of customers bikes.

No need to worry Stones, I'm sure it wasn't true.

Ummm....I'm hoping you're right. [&:] Actually, I'm surprised at the way the treat the bikes in the service area. I haven't seen em test ride em but you would think the bikes break easily the way they take their time and extreme care with the bikes they're handling.
