Default WheeL Chock on HF lift

Posted from another thread and a big thanks to lgenf for posting his picture All I did was to say what I have done differently.

I use the same wheel Chock set up some what in the same place,

The only thing different was after drilling the deck for the chock was to put the bolts up from the bottom and add nuts to them to keep them in place then I set the chock on the bolts and added nuts to hold down the chock. Now if I want to take off the front tire I use my plate jack to lift the front then remove the 4 nuts and the chock slides out and the bolts stay in place so when its time the chock slides back in place 4 nuts and done

I use an LA Trailer Chock on my HF table lift. It has bolt down holes in it but I just use 2 clevis pins from the bottom with 2 cotter pins thru them. that way I can center jack it to remove the front end by just pulling the cotter pins and removing the chock. It also let's me pull the chock and use it for transport or floor level maintenance.

It costs more than the HF upgraded chock but it truly holds the MC on the lift. No need to strap it down. The other advantage is that I have several holes so I can move the chock back or all the way forward depending on wheelbase. I have some vintage bikes that I move it back for so the rear wheel will be over the cut out piece in back for wheel removal.

Now that is a good Idea think I may be drilling a few more holes on the deck so I can move it when I want. Thanks
