swapping wheels tech support?

tried doing a search and found lots of relevant threads and posts, but didn't come across anything specifically addressing my issue. appreciate any responses that could help. thx.
Is it possible to put a 25mm axle wheel on a 2000 sportster that is made for a 3/4 inch axle? If so, appreciate the "how-to" pointers. thx.
