Reading the thread about someone messing with a bike got me thinking it wouldn't take much to set up a mercury switch and an alarm so you couldn't set one up off the jiffy stand with out tripping the alarm. Doing a little google work turned this up and seems to accomplish the same.
Doesn't seem to be more than one mention of it in searching the forums so I'm assuming now there's some down side to it I'm so far unaware of.

I have one and so does my wife. A good friend of mine has one too. They work great. Just make sure you attach a cable or something to remind you that it is locked on your bike before you take off.
