brake light

I have an 09 Street Glide that I want to change my Tri Bar Light to the new up-grade auxiliary running light-brake light. My dealer says I have to rewire my bike because it is a- Canadian bike and they don`t have the wire for it. Is this true. Part number 68358-07A
