I have started fitting a Sparto type light to my 09 Streetbob, But can't get the rear light to light up and have a brake light or I can have a rear light and no brake light. The Sparto only has two wires so I assumed that the third from the harness must go to earth which I connected to the mounting bolt. Inside is a two filament bulb, so please can some of you guys tell me where I've gone wrong as the weather is too good to be messing in the garage - I wanna go riding. Cheers
Sounds like you've picked up the wrong wire for the earth, meter it out to check it then make sure the other 2 wires go to the right bulb filament - i.e brake to the higher watt side of the bulb and rear light side to the lower wattage.
I think my Sparto (stock) light has four wires going to it. Ties into the signal lights, that much I remember from relocating the signals for the removable sissy bar.
